Author's Note: This story takes place shortly after "Blinded by the Whitelighter", but before "Wrestling with demons". Just a piece of something that came to my mind one night.

Only in his arms

"No! Don't you even dare to do this again to us! Don't you dare to take him away from me! Do you hear me?"

But it was only darkness. Darkness all around her, twisting black, treacherous tentacles around her small silouhette. And silence. This deadly silence. Just seconds before she was somewhere else. And he... he was with her. But now...

"Can't you understand this? Haven't you learned your lesson yet? Nothing and no one in this world can tell us apart. We're soulmates, made for each other since the dawn of civilization and no matter what, we'll always find a way to be together. That's just how it should be."

For a moment she felt the breath of cold wind on her back but still - there was no answer. Only this emptiness.

"And who are you? The almighty Elders who cannot even deal with several demons. I'm working my butt for you for almost three years and what do I get in return? You took away the meaning of my life after what we did for you," she said, her voice filled with anger and pain.

"You told him that you're lifting the probation and now you're sitting up there and laughing at our naivety. But you know what - maybe it's time for me to start playing your own game? If you won't give him back, you can say goodbye to The Power of Three because I'm going to strip my powers. Yes, just like that. There will no longer be any Charmed Ones and from that moment, you'll have to take care about The Source of All Evil by yourselves. And if that doesn't scares you, that's fine. Because whether you like it or not, me and Leo are meant to be and our love will last forever. Forever...

Piper woke up breathing heavily, her eyes shining with fear. But she relaxed immediately realizing the familiar feeling of the figure next to her.

This was the only place she could feel safe. With his strong arms around her, feeling the warmth radiating from his body and slow, regular beating of his heart. Lying in his embrance she could fight all nightmares that occupated her mind. She only has to know that he's right there, right there with her.

Her lips curved into little smile as she remembered how they've met. A handyman and a young woman, waiting for a true love. But this day, seeing him for the first time she knew, that the thing which linked them from the very beginning will be stronger than everything on earth. And will make their love last forever.

"I love you," said Piper quietly before falling into peaceful sleep, cuddling deeper into Leo's safe arms.

"I love you too," murmured Leo through sleep, unawarely tightening embrance around his loved one...
