Serial Spider

DEAR READER
It occurred to me while watching the new Spider-man animated series that I like Spider-man as a franchise far more than I'd realized. So, in the spirit of being a decent fan, I decided to try something different with fan fiction. I'm not generally a fan of straight-up slashes or putting one's self in the world with the canons. I like things to be interesting: a dark twist on a light story, a novelization of a great film or game, a screenplay made from a solid story.
So this time, in the spirit of ever-experimenting, I present a serial fan fiction. My plan is to have another "issue" of this fan fiction "comic" released every week on Monday nights. Now, I'm aware that today (May 20: the publication date of the first issue) is a Tuesday, but I was unable to log on to yesterday, as something was wrong with the log in system. But today, I have the first issue ready to share. Your feedback—positive or negative—is greatly appreciated. I'll stay in touch through "Dear Reader" notes every so often, but I promise at least one volume of this interpretation of the legend of Spider-Man. We'll see what else grows out of it if it comes out well.
To those of you who care to begin this journey with me, I ask for your hand warmly; I'm excited to see where this goes. Bon voyage!
