I closed my eyes and grasped the metal bar, digging my feet into whatever I could grasp.

'Why the hell did I let him talk me into this?'

Suddenly the ferris wheel jolted to a stop, making me let out a strangled gasp.

"You okay Krisha," Adrian threw me a worried glance, "you seem kinda pale."

"I'M FINE," I completely forgot about calming my voice, "I mean, I'm fine... Sorry!"

Adrian just gave me a look saying he didn't believe me.

...

It wasn't until a few minutes later that the ride stopped and we were let down. Adrian was checking out the other rides so I excused myself to the bathroom.

'Your okay Krissy,' I thought while I leaned over a toilet seat, 'It was one ri-' My thoughts were interrupted as I puked up my lunch.

Did I mention I had a fear of heights?

When I was 7 me and my dad used to go climbing, it was a Sunday, my brithday, when he didn't clip himself on properly. I was at the top already, dad helping me up, when he slipped and landed headfirst onto the ground. The only other thing I remember was screaming and then passing out. Ever since then I feared heights.

I wish I could tell Adrian, but we had gone to the amusement park for his birthday, and I didn't want to ruin it.

...

When I exited the washroom I saw Adrian waiting for me, without speaking he grabbed my hand and dragged me onto the pirate ship.

"Let's try this ride," he said and grinned one my favorite smiles, "it'll be fun!"

'Sure, fun...' I inwardly sighed, 'As much fun as puking up thorns'

...

The ride started a few minutes after we got on, the seats began to fill up with people, and Adrian being Adrian wanted to sit in one of the highest seats.

He was so lucky to have me.

I chewed on my bottom lip as the metal bars came down, as soon as they were settled I clutched onto it, grasping for dear life.

I clenched my eyes shut and felt the wind pass through my hair.

The minute I opened my eyes, I was bitch slapped in the gut with a serving of sickness.

"Krisha," I faintly heard Adrian, "look at me."

I waited a minute before reopening my eyes, and as I turned to look at Adrian the ride was already slowing down.

"What," I flinched at how weak my voice was, "is something wro-"

My words were cut off as he sealed his lips to mine.

"Hey Krisha, " I felt him pull away as I caught my breath, "why does your mouth taste like puke? "

"Ugh..." I stared, gaping at him.

"Shut up," and with that I leaned up to him.

We met halfway.
