She had despised pirates. To her they were filthy and merciless murderers who plundered and caused pain for others. She stole from them what they had stolen from others for her own goals. She aimed to fulfill her dreams and would not let them stop her. She hated them. They did not deserve her respect or even acquaintance. She was the thief and they were her prey.

But then, she met him.

He had been so confident, so caring, so…nice. And he was a pirate. But there were things about him that she found so endearing and sweet. She tried to pry herself away from the silly bunch of ridiculously strong and equally idiotic bunch of friends who called themselves 'pirates' or 'pirate hunters' but she failed. She had bonded with them. She had fought and suffered with them, smiled and laughed with them. She could not do anything to leave them, to truly leave them. She would miss those smiles, those jokes and that idiocy they all had.

Especially Luffy's. He was strong but not the strongest, confident but no the brashest and he had the best smile but not always the happiest. But most importantly, he stood by what he believed in. She did not know whether to call it stubbornness, ignorance, idiocy or whatever.

She could not, she would not, leave.
