"I'm bored~!"
Alfred's voice had been increasing in volume for the past half hour ,and it was really starting to tick Arthur off.
"Then get out of my bloody room you git! I'm trying to work!"
Arthur was about ready to throw Alfred out of their apartment. As if it wasn't hard enough to work with sleep threatening to overcome him at every second, now the bloody American was pestering him to death also. He sat on his bed with papers strewn about all over the place. Alfred sat at Arthur's desk, spinning in his chair.
"You've been working for the past two hours! Can't you take a break and play Xbox with me?" He whined at Arthur, getting up from the chair and kneeling beside the bed next to where Alfred sat. He looked up at him with puppy eyes. Arthur shoved him away.
"No! I need to finish this for my boss, someone has to get paid so we can continue living here," Arthur added the last comment with a glare.
The American faked looking hurt. He did however get up off the floor and walk to the door muttering 'I'll be back' in a funny accent.
After he closed the door, Arthur signed and continued working. He was almost done when he heard the door creak open.
"God dammit Alfred! I'm almost done!"
Alfred smiled and walked over to the brit. Arthur opened his mouth to say something but Alfred scooped him up bridal style, then continued towards the door. Ignoring his protest Alfred carried him from his room to their small living room. Arthur stopped protesting.
The squat table in front of the couch held three candles and some homemade food that must have taken hours. On their miniscule TV was the title screen for 101 Dalmatians.
"You did all this?" asked Arthur dumbfounded.
The American smiled so wide it took up most of his face, "I was bored and I wanted to surprise you."
Alfred laid him down softly on the couch and took his place next to Arthur. Arthur leaned his head against the younger man's shoulder. Alfred always knew when he needed a break, and he always made Arthur happy when he wasn't being an annoying idiot. That was one of the reasons he married the beautiful idiot.
