Honey, Wake Up

by Starsinger

Just a funny thought that crossed my mind. Thanks to MelodyRider for inspiring this fic. This is set during "Damned". No, still don't own them.

The team gathered serious considerations on their minds. "I still can't believe I'm included in these," Hisako muttered to Logan.

Logan raised an ironic eyebrow as Kitty and Peter waddled in, she always got first pick of the couch. No one wanted to pick her up off the floor again. "Comes from being on the team, kid," he replied. He pulled up the easy chair. Scott, Hank, and Lockheed were ushered in by two of the three resident cats.

"Okay," Scott started, "we all know why we're here." Lockheed winged over to land on Peter's head. Everyone chuckled, "Who brought the movies?" Peter pulled out the bag; he and Kitty had gone into town and raided the local video store. Scott pulled out Ratatouille and popped into the DVD player. No one could agree on one movie, so they'd gotten a variety, and they had to make sure Hisako could watch them.

Logan still didn't know how Disney did it, it was very funny and not at all cutsey, like he was afraid it would be. Soon, a soft snoring could be heard from the couch, "Honey," Peter said, "wake up."

Kitty awoke with an apology. Scott smiled, "Don't apologize, I remember Maddie falling asleep when she was pregnant with Nathan." Scott's eyes clouded over with fond memories as he took a moment to remember happier times. Ivanova took that moment to invade Scott's space by plopping down on his chest and curling up.

Rachael laughed, "Well, Scott, you can't say you don't have a woman in your life!" Scott sputtered as the cat stuck her furry tail in his face, which landed, naturally, in his mouth.

"Why did I let you talk me into keeping these cats, Kitty?" Scott asked.

"Because you can't resist Lockheed?" she retorted. Lockheed made a pithy comment at this point causing the room to laugh. "I think you're more fun now that you'll talk," Kitty laughed.

Rachael looked up, "Why doesn't he talk more often."

"Shape of his mouth, makes our language difficult for him," Hank popped out.

"That's why he sounds like he's growling at everyone when he does," Kitty said popping more popcorn into her mouth. Peter looked at him, "What? It's just kettle corn! The twins like kettle corn."

"Yeah, it's those burritos they don't like," Lockheed commented. Laughter ensued as they enjoyed the rest of movie night.

Enjoy!
