Sulu and Chekov are lost. My take on the only good scene from Star Trek: V. For contest on deviantART.
Sulu looked up at the sky, "Pavel?"
"Da?" Chekov replied, looking up as well.
"We're lost," Sulu replied.
"Vhat? Hikaru, ve can't be lost. I mean for crying out loud, I am the navigator and you are the helmsmen of the frinkn' Enterprise, ve don't get lost."
Sulu looked at his best friend, "Pavel, I'm telling you we are lost."
Chekov looked at him, "If the others find out ve vill never hear the end of it."
"I am aware of that. What do you suggest we do?"
"Get un-lost?" Chekov suggested.
"How do we do that? This tricorder is broken and we don't even know how to get back to the base camp," Sulu said, pointing to a random direction.
"D' stars?" Chekov suggested.
"Can you even find the North Star?" Sulu asked.
Chekov looked up, "vow, I never knew things looked so different from down here."
"You are a genius who graduated top of his class and have a degree in navigation and you can't find the North Star?" Sulu replied with a raised eyebrow.
"I am sorry, but in school it was all simulations. Nothing in our way like trees and mountains," Chekov replied still looking up in the night sky looking for the North Star.
"Just face Pavel, we're lost."
"Ve are not lost. Ve just vent into the voods and can't find our way back," Chekov replied.
"That's the definition of lost Pavel," Sulu sighed.
Chekov looked at Sulu and sighed, "Ve're lost and screwed. Aren't ve?"
Sulu nodded and just them his communicator went off.
"I don't believe this," he said as he searched for his communicator.
"Vhatever you do Hikaru, do tell them ve're lost, ve'll never hear the end of it," Chekov replied.
