Aim. Pull the trigger. Fire.
The simple rhythm went like that. Soldiers' fire, children scream for their most likely dead parents. That's just how it was. Bullets pierced so many innocent Ishvalans skin, leaking a liquid the same color as their eyes. The horrid crimson that stained the sand the same color as the stone this entire thing was for. Funny how a desire for power could wipe out an entire civilization. All for a bright red stone.
It wasn't all gun shots. All kinds of alchemy from the human weapons lit the sky too. They never knew what they signed up for. So young, yet their souls had been damaged so harshly. Lives resting on their shoulders. So many sins they had done, all because of a silver pocket watch with the military's sea horse insignia on it. It enhanced their alchemic power. Power. Does this whole uprising- no, civil war lie on power?
Humans are sad, terrible creatures. This whole thing proves it. Starting a war, using your puppets to kill, all because you want something so badly. Putting so many lives at stake, the whole thing is terrible. Why do we do things so terrible? Why do we harm so many others? Why do we allow ourselves to fall into such a simple rhythm? Such a simple, yet deadly rhythm.
Aim. Pull the trigger. Fire.
AH! That is that! Please review. Also please don't flame me, that's Zuko (and the rest of the Firebenders) and Mustangs job. I would like to thank Violet Abilene for giving me feedback.
