Did he really think I'd say no? I was overjoyed at the announcement. Of course I'd marry them! There was no need for him to be nervous. As much as it was refreshing to see him stripped of his usual cockiness, he really shouldn't have thought for a second that I would refuse. Heck, I couldn't refuse. After the chewing out I'd given them when I'd first discovered their relationship, I owed them this.
"I'll tell the crew to ready their dress uniforms," I smiled. "Just say the word. Do you already have someone to walk her down the aisle?"

I couldn't believe she agreed. This was all happening so fast, too fast. Wasn't the bride having second thoughts? Were they really going to go through with this? Wasn't it just yesterday that they were only dating? When had it all turned so serious? This was too much to take in. Then again, I had no right to have cold feet.
"Voyager to Commander Chakotay," she joked. "Still there?"
"Uh…yes."
"So…what will it be?"
"Let me think about it."
"Thinking time is over. Tom's got permission from the captain. Are you going to walk me down the aisle or not?"
Yeah, the plot bunny giver probably predicted that. :p
