MY Girl

Your stoic attitude

Your silky hair

Your topaz eyes

Your beautiful smile

You're the dreamiest guy I've ever met

I get butterflies and starry eyed when you walk in a room

I wish I had the courage to tell you, but I know you would not feel the same about me.

Shy, quiet, happy Alice—nothing special

Why would you want me when you are so special?

So unique and terrific

You are the one I love and I can't stand

I wish you'd feel the same way.

I stared at the paper in disgust.

"Who is this?" I said to myself.

I placed the letter in my pocket and started my way to the cafeteria. It was lunch.

When I got to the table my irritation was palpable, "Can I talk to you?" I slurred harsher than expected.

The surrounding people at the table stared in shock at my rudeness, but the one I was talking to took it as no surprise.

She got up and walked with me towards the hallway.

"What is this?" I asked, angrily. I was so hurt. I felt so disrespected. I didn't know how to control these varying emotions; so they just ruptured as anger.

"I-I'm sorry," she said choking up her words. I quieted my tone and tried to control myself. I didn't want to make her cry. Honestly I should be the one on the verge of tears. My heart was literally pounding faster than it should.

"Who is he?" I asked clutching my teeth, the force nearly rupturing a vessel in my brain.

She looked at me confused, only fueling my anger. This was so not the time to play dumb.

"What are you talking about?"

"This," I said showing her the paper

She grabbed it and looked at.

"This?" I breathed in deeply, once again, attempting to control my frustration. I knew Alice was not stupid and I did not appreciate her playing me for a fool.

"Yes," I breathed heavily.

"This is for you, Shun," I stared at her in shock.

"What?"

"The letter was for you, topaz eyes, and silky hair? Who do I know who has these qualities except you?"

I was surprised, but thrilled. Alice liked me that was music to my ears and I just completely yelled at her.

"I'm sorry," I said feeling ashamed

"That's alright, I'm going to guess that you like me by how you looked like you were about to kill whoever this letter was meant for,"

"I wouldn't kill him, just make sure he wouldn't lay a hand on my Alice," I said wrapping my hands around her waist, kissing her forehead.

She blushed, slightly

"Your Alice?"

"If you want to be," I said, questioning

"What was the point of the letter, Shun?" she fussed humorously. The pout on her face was so cute.

"I don't know I didn't write it," I said sarcastic.

She playfully punched me in the rib and we walked back into the lunch room my hand wrapped around her waist. We received stares but why would I care I got my girl
