Well, I've been writing a lot of lemons lately and I did this short in order to represent my ability to write romance/drama minus all the lemons and limes ;D

This was also kinda a fulfillment to Syrun's indirect request for me to write a short without a lemon. I'm aiming to kinda make a series outta this formulated from my own experiences. I like using Naruto as a model for my own situations.

Because this actually happened! I'm part o' yearbook, I like a cheerleader (I cover cheer in the yearbook,) but I just can't bring myself to say to her that I like her :/

I left this story open ended to see what happens when I do say somthing to her.

PLEASE LEAVE REVIEWS! I appreciate the feedback.

Hope you guys like it!

Damn it! Naruto thought to himself as he stood by himself on a lonely corner of the dance floor. I absolutely hate being socially awkward around girls! He gently kicked his feet against the gym floor in a slight, nervous shame.

He looked up and adjusted the baseball cap that sat on top of his head. Why can't I, like, freakin' bring myself to this? It's not really that hard, is it?

Naruto looked up and let out a heavy sigh he'd been holding up in his chest for the past hour and a half. He desperately attempted to find a friend, some bastion of safety among the crowd of dancing people. When he saw Kiba, a small flash of hope passed through his mind.

He fought his way through the crowd to get to him and managed to pull Kiba out of the dancing crowd.

Kiba wiped his sweating forehead with the back of his hand. "Phew, I'm surprised at this crowd, Naruto, given how it's our only dance of the year! I do have to admit that your suggestion to have it in the gym was awesome."

Naruto shrugged modestly and looked at Kiba in his male Konoha High cheerleader uniform. "Hey, Kiba, can I ask you a favor?"

"Sure, dude, what is it?" He let out a tired, but satisfied smile.

"I still can't bring myself to do it, man, I just don't have that kind of self-confidence!" His voice was full of both anger and frustration.

Kiba rolled his eyes. "Are you still talking about Sakura?"

"Who else do you think I'd be talking about? She's the only cheerleader on the team with pink hair after all!"

"Dude!" Kiba exclaimed, placing his hands on Naruto's shoulders. He started to shake the blonde-headed teen. "All you have to do is, like, bump into her or something and say some kind of a pick-up line! It's not that hard!"

The yearbook-photographer brushed his friend's arms off of his shoulders. "Easier said than done! I'm not good at talking to girls!"

Kiba grasped Naruto's arm. "C'mon, we're gonna do this tonight, I swear!"

Naruto struggled against his pull. "Dude! I can't do it!"

They paused. "Well, it you say you can't do it, then you won't do it!"

"Kiba, c'mon man, you should know by now how nervous I am around girls. I've been trying to talk to Sakura for weeks now and I still haven't been able to bring myself to do it!"

"Look, if you don't do it tonight, you'll lose a chance to try for a long time. That's like, in the summer and right now it's October." He looked into the crowd until he could find Sakura's bright pink hair. "If you don't try now, you'll have to wait until coach officially puts you on the cheer team next year."

Both looked up to see Sakura and all of her friends pop out of the crowd and slowly start to walk towards the drink stand. Kiba nodded towards their direction and Naruto simply sighed.

Jeez, I really don't know why I'm having so much trouble doing this. Naruto looked nervously down at his feet. Crap... Well, might as well try instead of waiting...
