So I've been shipping this couple for like, two years, and here I am actually writing a fic about them! Also, Dawn is like, fifteen in this because I know someone's gonna bitch about her age if I don't make it somewhat acceptable. Oh yeah, and I'm using the Japanese names. ENJOY!

"Oh come on Hikari! You should be able to do this! It's just your mom!"

"I… I know that Shirona, but… but what if she freaks out at me…?"

Shirona simply waved her hand, implying a dismissal of the thought. "Bah, you're mom loves you, right?"

Hikari glanced downward. "W-well, yes, she does…"

"So why would she freak out at you for being gay? I mean, maybe she'll freak out that you're dating the twenty eight year old Pokemon Champion when you're only fifteen, but that's only the worst that could happen!" Shirona said, trying to boost Hikari's confidence.

"Yeah… but it could happen…"

Shirona sighed, and put her arm around her younger lover.

"Look Hikari, I know this is really hard for you and all, and I know I'm not doing the best job at encouraging you, but you shouldn't be getting so worried over this. If your mom's fine with our relationship, that's great. If she's not, then oh well, that's her problem."

Hikari looked up at Shirona, and wrapped her arms around the older woman's neck. "Th… Thank you Shirona… You wanna get the car started…? I'll let mom know we'll be stopping by…"

Shirona stood up and smiled at Hikari. "I'd be happy to, sweetie. Be quick about it though. We don't have all day after all." She said with a wink, and then walked into the foyer to grab her keys.

Hikari pulled her phone out from her pocket, and quickly selected her mother's contact ID. After ringing for a bit, Hikari heard a voice on the other end.

"Hello, this is Ayako."

"Hi mom, it's Hikari!"

"Oh sweetie, it's so good to hear from you! How have things been lately? Enjoying your life as champion?"

"A…Actually, I stepped down. I let Jun take over for me. He seemed more deserving of the title."

What she said was merely half of the truth. She had indeed give up her title as Champion and given it to friend Jun, but it was only so she spend more time with Shirona.

"I see… Well, as long as you're happy, that's all that matters to me."

Hikari felt relieved, believing that if her mother could understand her partial reasoning for abandoning her title, then maybe she'd be accepting of her relationship with Shirona.

"Thank you mom. That means a lot to me…"

"Oh don't you worry about it! Now, was that the reason you called me, or os there something else you wanted to talk about?"

Hikari took a deep breath in before she responded.

"Actually, I wanted to let you know that I'll be coming down to Twinleaf tonight with a friend of mine. I've wanted you to meet her, and she's wanted to meet you too."

"Oh that's wonderful dear! I'll get the house ready for you two girls right now! Do you think you'll be staying for dinner?"

"I don't think so. We'll need to be heading back to Celestic before dark."

"Well I'll be sure to at least have some tea ready for you two when you arrive."

"Thanks mom. I gotta go now, my friend's blaring the horn at me right now."

"Okay then, I'll see you tonight!"

Hikari heard the other end cut off, and she put her phone back into her pocket. Walking towards the front door, she smiled.

"This could actually work…" she thought to herself.
