Dancing in the Moonlight
Author's Note: A poem I wrote for Remus and Tonks, my favorite couple in Harry Potter.
Its funny how when times are hard people get closer together
How in a dark world two light hearts can still find one another
Does age really matter?
What about poverty?
I don't care about danger because hope is all I see
You can hide behind your excuses
And your old memories
Even if you say you don't care there is no fooling me
So why don't you just man up
And tell the world how you feel
It may seem surprising, but you aren't the only one who has to heal
Maybe we can deal with these scars together
Just you and me dancing in the full moon with one another
I'm now a depressing brown instead of a happy pink
I know that you notice and I know what you think
I know you know about my spirit
And how it has changed into something brand new
So you better listen and hear it
These changes happened because of you
Dancing in the moonlight
After so much has happened to you
You may have to grieve tonight
But I think everyone has to too
Did it take something so terrible
For you to finally see
That dancing in the moonlight is you and me
Author's Note: So what do you think?
