The irony was, just that day, Zoey had been reading an interesting article about fate. It was a few months after Total Drama and she was told by Chris that her services would no longer be required. Or, at least, for now. Fate, the article said was more than just death. It was luck, future, relationships. Some couples could last forever. Others wouldn't. This talk of relationships got her thinking of Mike. Her destiny with Mike. She and Mike had a stable relationship. Or so Zoey thought. What if they weren't meant to last? She reflected on Total Drama Revenge of the Island. There was his lie about his disorder. They survived that. There was Anne Maria and Vito. They survived that. There was the confusion and secrecy and hurt. They survived all of that. There was Mike's elimination. They survived, well, aside from Zoey's breakdown. And then, the most recent season, that Zoey competed in. With a competitor like no other. Mal. His name still sent shivers down Zoey's spine. But they survived that. Maybe, Zoey thought, they would survive. Just then, her phone rang. It was Mike. She was thinking about him, their relationship. And he was there. As if, he could sense her feeling down and wanted to aid her. Zoey smiled. She and Mike would survive anything. Their fate was sealed.
