Plus I kind of hate how mostly everyone makes her last name "Maple") Beginning of the series her hair is in it's regular style, later on she outgrows it and lets it out, to reach the small of her back. She can sing and dance thanks to courtesy of her best friend. She also the sweet, cute, & pretty girl that Macey(from the anime/Johto series) gets really annoyed by. May often gets easily jealous when other girls try to get close to Ash.

Ash Ketchum- Same guy in the anime, he becomes friends with his rivals Paul and Gary. At the beginning of the series he completely dense about love, later (probably a few chapters...XDD) it comes more clear to him. He's also very mature near the middle and end of the series.

Anyway at the beginning of the series she's still the tomboy she ever was, later she becomes more girly and lady-like due to growing up and her sisters. Also near the beginning she gets really jealous of May's close relationship with Ash.
