She was beautiful, exquisite even. She had beautiful blue eyes and jet black hair, and so much of it! Wufei was totally entranced. He had never seen anyone so enchanting before. Not even Sally had taken possession of his heart the way she did. He almost felt guilty for thinking that. He shrugged mentally, doubting that even Sally could fault him for thinking that way.
He took the girl in his arms. "There is someone I think it's time you should meet." He walked down the hall with the girl to where his wife was waiting. "I just know she'll love you," he said beaming widely. He knocked lightly on the door, "Sally? Love? Are you awake?"
"Fei?" came a sleepy sounding voice.
"There's someone here to see you," Wufei said softly, walking into the room with the girl. He brought her to the bed where Sally was resting and he sat on the side of the bed.
"Oh Fei! She's - she's ...."
"Perfect. I know." he said with a silly grin all over his face, as Sally reached out and took the girl into her arms. "We are going to have to make sure her name is just as perfect as she is." he said as he memorized his first image of his wife and baby daughter together.
"Fei?" she said hesitantly.
"Hmm."
Without looking up Sally said quietly, "Would you mind if we called her Meiran?" When Wufei didn't respond she looked up at him. She saw tears welling in his eyes. "Oh Fei! I'm sorry, I shouldn't have even asked." she said afraid that she had stepped into a place that was to personal for her husband to share with her. But he surprised her. He leaned forward gathering his wife and daughter into his arms and placed an ever so gentle kiss on the top of the baby's head and then one on his wife's lips and then sat back.
"I would be honored to name her for Meiran. And I believe she would be pleased." he said as a single tear escaped.
Sally sighed in relief. "I wanted to name her after someone strong. And, from what you have told me of your first wife, I couldn't think of anyone else."
"It's a perfect name." Wufei said, smiling. He felt complete for the first time in a long while. He had everything he held most dear in the world right there. 'Life can't get better than this' he thought, as a gin lit up his face as Meiran as she began to nurse.
