Oh my... Well, look who it is. Okay, so I've been on a kind of Alcide and Amelia kick for a while now and just got inspired to write again. I have written already four stories on these two: 'Alcide & Amelia' (my first ever fanfic and a smutty one-shot), 'Firsts' (it's sequel that I've been quite lazy about), 'Kidnapped' (a darker toned A/A story still in progress), 'Yours' (an original one-shot written by my FF buddy Sharamoon that I posted and then decided for both of us to co-write and has 5 chapters so far), and of course, 'Howling For You' (an author 'free for all' that will hopefully consist of other writers bringing their own vignettes to follow the one part I've already written yesterday).

Oh! And I've also posted 'Essential Spark' (which was also written by Shara and is an awesome read!).

Anyway, I was thinking about this pairing a few minutes ago (as I do) and thought of another piece to write for my lovely readers. Hope you like!

Just a small, internal piece about Alcide's starting to like Amelia. Non-smutty, short and sweet!

I own absolutely nothing.

...

Alcide Herveaux had been stomping around in fustration for what felt like hours, the tension in his body getting to snap itself completely.

He had gone to see the one and only Amelia Broadway at her home today. Well, technically Sookie Stackhouse's home, really.

The blonde telepath had moved out of that house a few months prior to go live with her fiance, Vampire Sheriff Eric Northman in Shreveport.

He had liked Sookie romantically a long while ago and because of a series of events and her ultimate engagement to Northman, things hadn't worked out and after some trouble, their friendship was now back on track, thankfully.

He'd even helped her move to Northman's place.

With some time and a little effort, his feelings for her began to gradually dissolve and become comfortably familial at best.

And of course, that gave him a great opportunity to explore other relationship options more successfully than before.

Although, to his surprise, said option that ended with his attention was her housemate.

Amelia...

The New Orleans bred witch had been Sookie's housemate for the better part of a year and he found it odd that she had been under his nose this entire time and was just now noticing her in that certain way.

He had begun visiting her after her blonde friend moved and after some few months or so, he was hit with the fucking lightning bolt again.

This time, for a 5'6" brunette who could easily turn him into a frog.

At least, he thought she could.

He went and saw her today at her place of employment and asked her to come by his office say they could talk about what he was feeling.

Of course, she didn't know that so, he knew there would be a small element when he told her how he felt.

Little because he wasn't that subtle when it came to her. Not really.

To her, he was.

It seemed that everyone and their grandmother could read what he felt.

Everyone but, her that is.

He could just as well as stamp 'I REALLY, REALLY LIKE YOU' in large letters on his forehead and she still wouldn't pay any mind.

Jeez. For a smart woman, she really was kinda dense when it came to his obvious affections for her.

But, not after today. Especially not after today.

At least he hoped not.
