"I need to get out of here" I said through tears. She looked at me and then walked with her back facing towards me to the window. Without turning around she said,
"Your not coming back are you?" her voice was shallow and it was hard to know what her reaction was.
"Your not are you? "she repeated in the same tone and I just couldnt seem to figure out what she was feeling.
"Answer me!' she said angrily turning around; her face same as it was just a few moments ago, red and puffy. I just looked at my shoes and I could hear her walking towards me.
"Demetria! You cant just make one simple thing ruin your life, marry him and move on. Do you hear me?" she pushed her face near mine in a demanding voice.
I stood up, taken back by hear words, it was one thing to listen to the others, but not from my best friend. At that moment I realized, that I had no one. My dad, my mother and now my best friend from childhood. We shared so many good memories, we were what others described as two peas in a pond, and it would be hard to believe that she would turn against me. There was absolutely nothing holding me back now that I had figured out the truth. Its going to be my life and no one else but mine.
"I cant believe you fooled me all of these years"
"What?" she said and her expression changed into a very sad hopeless face but it wasnt really that I cared anymore.
"I just never would of realized that this is who you are until now, a self centered b***h"
"Who are you? Because youre definitely not Demi she said shouting at me."
"The question is who are you?" I said returning the shout. She just looked at me and I saw her eyes were lost. I had struck something inside. I left her there staring at nothing as I went through the window. Somehow I realized that I might have destroyed her back there and there was nothing I could do to take back those words. I managed to grab a hat before I left and placed it on covering my face; as I sat down under a trea the park , watching the people passing by.
