A/N: Very short request. I might write more on this subject later on. Let me know what you think!

Remus Lupin spent a great majority of his time shut up in his room, so his parents rarely asked him if anything was wrong. He considered himself a great danger to everyone, and decided that he was better off locked up, no matter what stage the moon was in.
Today, however, something really was wrong. There had been a horrible mistake. The owl that had just swooped in his window with a letter addressed to him had clearly been misled. There was no way that he, Remus Lupin, could be accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Yes, it was true that he had shown signs of magic and was technically a wizard. But he was also a werewolf and would not risk infecting all of his classmates. Yes, there had been some sort of a mistake and another owl was going to swoop into his room at any minute and steal his precious letter away.
He set the letter down on the table close to his window and perched on his bed against the opposite wall to stare at it from a distance as though the piece of paper were the danger, not him. "No, no, no…" he mumbled to himself over and over.
For an eleven year old boy, he had faced struggles much more severe than all of his peers. This being one of them.
While all of his potential future classmates were probably giddy with excitement and anticipation, Remus was curled in the fetal position, unable to decide what to do.
Of course he'd run away. What other choice did he have? He couldn't go to the school and risk biting anyone, but he couldn't stay here where he'd be so easy to track down and drag away to the school either. He would catch the Knight Bus and he would take it somewhere no one would suspect. Perhaps he would go join a colony of werewolves where he would be with his own kind.
All he knew was that there was no way he would ever go to Hogwarts.
