Hey readers. It's been so long since I've done anything for fanfic, but this idea came and I was intrigued. Hope you enjoy. New chapter soon :)

Disclaimer: Do I look like JK Rowling? So I don't own HP.

"Hey. Been awhile, right?" said Harry.

"Yeah," said Ginny. Her foot traced circles into the carpet.

"So." A silence fell between the two that neither knew how to break. Even after a few weeks, Harry and Ginny had barely talked. He didn't know why things were so weird. Moments passed until Ron burst into the room, unannounced as usual.

"Hey, Harry, I…" He noticed how far away Ginny stood from his best friend. He tried not to let the smile creep onto his face. Though he was alright with their relationship, Ginny was still his little sister. "Oh, ha ha, sorry. I'll just go," he said, closing the door behind him. But before either person could say anything, Ron's head popped back into the door frame.

"One more thing. Dinner's soon. Bye." The door shut with a thud and clumsy footsteps were heard.

Since Voldemort had been defeated, things had been wonderful for Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Things had been great. As great as awkward silence was. The Burrow was spotless, everyone was safe finally, but things weren't quite same.

The silence became unbearable between them at times. Harry just didn't understand what happened.

"Ginny, please, talk to me," Harry said, finally breaking the silence. She shifted uncomfortably.

"I should go help with dinner," she said, gliding out of the room. Harry stood alone in her room, brows furrowed, unable to grasp the situation. He didn't think he had done anything to warrant this behavior. All the months he was gone searching for horcruxes, he had been completely faithful though they were broken up. He didn't think of it that way. He loved her.

"Harry!" Mrs. Weasley's voice could be heard even from the highest floor of the Burrow. He apparated downstairs, appearing right in front of Ron, who let out a shriek.

"Blimey Harry," Ron said, pushing his best friend away. Harry merely laughed.

"You scare so easy."

"Of course! We just fought you-know-who. I'm jumpy."

"Volde-"

"Don't say his name," interrupted Mr. Weasley from the kitchen. He walked into the dining room with two bowls of food. "It's still charmed boy. His true followers may be devastated, but they're also angry. Be sure they want your head Harry."

"Yes, Mr. Weasley. Sorry," said Harry.

Everyone filled the table, finally feeling a semblance of peace with the Dark Lord gone. Laughter, smiles, and a sense of ease encompassed each person.

"So Harry," said Mrs. Weasley, "Do you think you're going to go back to finish your schooling?" Her eyes darted up to look at him, then Ron. She had been asking him ever since he defeated The Dark Lord. Every single night. It became the hot button topic.

"I don't know yet. I'd really like to let things die down more. Maybe go to the Ministry when they get things sorted out." His answer every time. She rolled her eyes, but gave him a polite okay.

Things were definitely different now.
