I've done this once before, but now I'm doing it again… this time with Tiva! Enjoy!
iPod Challenge:
1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Turn on your music player and put it on random/shuffle.
3. Write a drabble related to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the drabble; you start when the song starts, and stop when it's over. No lingering afterward!
4. Do ten of these and then post them.
1. (The Legend Of) Miss Baltimore Crabs- Michelle Pfeiffer
"Good luck beating me," Tony ground out through clenched teeth.
"I don't need it," Ziva replied calmly as she clutched Tony's hand and slammed it into his desk.
"Ow!" He leapt up from the table and shook his hand. "Jeez!"
McGee stifled a laugh and said, "She's beaten you at arm wrestling three times in a row, Tony. Give it up."
"Never! I will win! Let's go again!"
2. All I Want for Christmas Is You- Mariah Carey
"Tony, what is that green leaf doing on Ducky's doorframe?"
Tony put down his chicken leg, wiping grease off his chin with his hand. "It's mistletoe, Ziva. It's a Christmas tradition."
She furrowed her brow and craned her neck to stare at the mistletoe. "What is the point of it?"
"I could tell you," he said slowly, wiping his greasy hands on a napkin and standing, "but showing is better. Do you want me to show you?"
"Yes," Ziva said, growing impatiently. "Show me."
"Alright," Tony said, walking up to her. "Just remember, you asked me to do this."
And then he grabbed her shoulders and kissed her.
3. Big Things Poppin' (Do It)- T. I.
"Would you turn that off?"
"Nope," Tony said, turning up the volume on the car stereo even louder. "My car, my music."
"This does not count as music."
"Shut up, Ziva."
"It is not music," Ziva said, raising her voice to be heard over the music. "Rap does not fit the definition of music, so it technically is not."
They came to a stoplight, and Tony turned to stare at her. "Do you have to be such a Debbie Downer?"
She furrowed her brow. "What?"
He sighed and faced forward again. "Never mind."
4. Welcome to Wherever You Are- Bon Jovi
Tony held Jeanne's letter in his hands, completely lost for words. He wasn't surprised that she was making him choose; no, he was shocked that he was even giving him a second chance. For months, he had been using her and lying to her, and while some very real feeling were there, that didn't change the fact that Tony had betrayed her.
But he could still have her. They could still have their life together.
All he had to do was give up his career.
And his team.
He looked at them. Gibbs, his father figure. McGee, his annoying little brother. Ziva, his partner.
He stood up and threw the letter in the fire.
5. Fly Over States- Jason Aldean
"I'm going to quiz you on the names of the fifty states, okay, Miss Citizenship Test?"
"They do not require you to know the names of all fifty, do they?" Ziva asked, looking panicked. "I am taking the test in a week! I did not study those!"
"Calm down, I don't think they do." Tony grinned. "I'm just bored, we've got three hours left in this flight, and I'm wondering what exactly you know about this great land."
Ten minutes later, Ziva had named every state except one, genuinely surprising Tony. But she couldn't think of the last one, and he was enjoying tormenting her.
"Is it… Nevada?"
"You said that one."
"Florida!"
"Said that one too."
She stared at him.
"It's Iowa."
"Iowa!" Ziva threw her hands up. "Who has heard of Iowa?"
6. So Much for You- Ashley Tisdale
"I like this one," Ziva said, tapping the glass guarding several sparkly engagement rings.
"Yeah?" Tony leaned down beside her. "Oh, that's nice."
"Isn't it?" She stood up and grinned. "She'll like it. Call McGee and tell him we found his ring for Abby."
7. Twang- George Strait
"This is a… honky tonk?" Ziva sounded out the words carefully as Tony parked in front of a small but loud building.
"Yep," Tony said. "It's like a bar. But they play country music and wear cowboy hats."
"Why are we here?" she asked, following as he got out of the car. "Do we have a lead to follow up on?"
"No," he sighed, rolling his eyes. "We're in Tennessee. We've got to experience some culture."
Ziva entered as he held the door open for her. When she took in the chaotic scene around her, her face lit up.
"Oh," she said. "This is amazing."
8. Rock 'n Roll All Nite- KISS
"I'm so tired," Tony groaned, his head lolling onto his desk.
"Keep working, Tony," Ziva said, not looking up from her case report.
"I can't."
"Yes, you can."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Tony!" She shoved away from her desk, marched over to his, and yanked his head up by his hair. He whimpered and wriggled out of her grasp. "Now work!"
"Fine," he grumbled, glancing at his clock. "It's two a.m."
"I'm aware of that."
"It's so late."
"Tony!"
9. Who Are You When I'm Not Looking- Blake Shelton
The first time he went to Ziva's apartment, Tony couldn't believe what he saw. There was the vase of flowers on the kitchen table.
A vase.
Of flowers.
Apparently, there was a lot more to this rough, tough Mossad chick than met the eye.
10. Rock My World (Little Country Girl)- Brooks & Dunn
Tony DiNozzo could have any woman he wanted.
Except the one he did want.
She teased, she flirted… but she wouldn't allow him to get within arm's length of her, both literally and figuratively.
But he kept going after Ziva, because she was rocking his world, even though she was doing it from another cubicle.
That was fun! I don't really like the last one; I couldn't think of anything to do for that song. Thanks for reading, please review? : )
