A/N: So yeah, first one-shot. So tell me what you think! I'm sorry I haven't been adding new chapters lately, but I've been busy, busy, busy :3

Disclaimer: I do NOT OWN Harry Potter, J.K Rowling does, The only thing I own is the kitten that is sleeping on my head right now. :) Yeah, but if I owned Harry Potter, I wouldn't be writing Fanfiction :)

The world was broken.

Bones jutted from the soil, corpses lay lifeless on the blood-stained earth. A man, once a boy, now aged, not in physical but in mental, stood over them.

The angels sang that night, for the friends he had lost, and the family he grieved.

Harry Potter lived. While so many others died.

Like a man who now lay cold as stone, he hung his head. Snape was gone, shadowed by Him.

So Harry dropped to his knees and sobbed, as the world seemed to fall, and break, and tumble, shatter like his inevitably beating heart.

His mother's eyes filled with tears, his eyes identical to hers in that final moment.

And then his mind was taken. Not cruelly and painfully like Voldemort had taken it, but taken by a much gentler hand, leading him slowly into darkness, where his own eyes stared back at him.

The meadow was perfect, the girl lay, her auburn hair a halo, her emerald eyes staring at the world around her, her hand intertwined not with his father, no. the boy who lay beside her, his nose was crooked, his eyes were onyx, and his face was sad.

"Severus." She spoke, her voice like a melody in the forgotten times.

"Yes, Lily?" He replied, turning his head slowly to meet hers.

"Did you ever give any thought to magic?"

There was silence, and then he spoke, not hesitantly, but with the assurance of a thousand ships.

"Yes, Lily."

Somewhere far away, a scream of anguish echoed through a blood stained night.

Grief flowed through the air, as Harry Potter fell, and surrendered to Him.

And Snape lay dead, his eyes staring into a world he had left, but not seeing that world, no.

He saw only the face of Lily Evans.

And her sons twin emerald eyes.

All was silent.

All was gone.
