"Jade," Beck asked, "Why are you mad at Tori for getting the lead?"

Jade glared.

"I'm NOT mad at Tori for getting the lead," Jade said, "I'm mad because VEGA ALWAYS WINS!"

"Honey you've gotten the lead before and you'll get it again. It's just one play."

"It's not about the play," Jade said, "Don't you get it?"

"Sure," he said, "What do I get?"

Jade rolled her eyes.

"Do I have to spell it out for you," she snapped.

"P l e a s e," Beck replied causing her to smile just a little.

"When V E G A insults me you find it funny. Don't deny it. I've seen you smirk at her comments. But when I insult Vega you ignore me for awhile"

"You're kind of impossible to ignore," he joked.

She scowled.

He took that as his cue to shut up and let her continue.

"You said to me what you said last week. You never said that to Vega when she insults me"

"How do you know what I say to Tori when you're not around," Beck challenged.

"Well you made your comment to me in front of her"

"That was a time sensitive situation that I wanted to defuse," he replied, "Believe me I tell her off when she insults you"

"You do?"

"Yes I do. Continuing on?"

"When I embarrassed Vega you got mad at me," she said, "Did you get mad at Vega when she embarrassed me?"

Tori had slipped one day in anger arguing with Jade and revealed an embarrassing secret she happened to have overheard Jade and Cat discussing.

"As a matter of fact," Beck said calmly, "Yes I did… a lot worse then I got mad at you. The way I was in the end with you was how I was in the beginning with her. You don't even WANT to know how I was in the end."

Yes I do, Jade thought to herself but didn't say it out loud.

"Why didn't you tell me," she asked.

He rolled his eyes.

"Because I didn't want to have a sequel to the last time that happened," he said

"Why do you do that anyway," she asked.

"Do what," he asked confused.

"Why do you get mad?"

He calmly told her he would be happy to answer her question but right now they were discussing something else. They were talking about Jade at the moment and her dislike of Tori.

"Jade," Beck said, "There is one thing Tori will never win. She will never win my heart. You've always had it"

"Jade," Sikowitz said, "Tori is stuck so she can't perform today. You're on"
