Times Change

Tears linger in my throat,
I can't hold them any longer.
The stress of this divorce
Has not truly made me stronger.
Yet I'm a different person,
Not who I used to be.
In the good, and in the bad,
I've changed totally.
This divorce I write about,
This divorce my parents had,
Has tought me some life lessons,
So it cannot be all bad.
It taught me love is rare,
And is not a word but is an action,
It taught me love could do great things,
And brings great satisfaction.
It taught me times can change,
And time changes people too,
It taught me God is always there,
And he will see you through.
