"We're gonna test forever, and ever and ever and ever~"
Testing, testing, testing. That's all I wanted. That's all I ever needed.
The tests I solve aren't your ordinary elementary fill in the blacks or multiple choice test. You need your working brain for these... normal tests. It is normal! For me. For everyone. But not for you. It is as normal as anything could get here in Aperture, and when I mean normal, I mean Dangerously normal. Insanely normal. Deadly normal. And I love it.
Pop a portal here, pop a portal there, make one wrong move and death would take you away. It's hard, but it's fun.
I do other things aside from testing, of course. I do the boring paper works and help Mr. Johnson battle Aperture's rival - Black Mesa.
But the most tragic thing happened. Cave caught a ticket that would lead him to an early grave. The Conversion Gel incident. That's what happened. It left Mr. Johnson weak. His coughing fits getting worse as each day passed and he knew, we knew, everyone knew, he would die.
Then, he did something unforgivable.
"I want Caroline to run this place."
"Mister Johnson, No! I-"
"Now she'll argue, she'll say she can't, she's modest like that, but you make her!"
"But sir-"
"Hell! Put her in my computer! I don't care."
How could he do this to me?
I never lived my life the same way after his death. I stopped testing and continued his role as the CEO. I became busier to have time for testing. I became more sleep deprived and it made my head ache. I did not want this.
I then realized that Aperture is no longer Aperture. It had moved from being "Aperture Science Innovators" to "Aperture Science Laboratories." They just destroyed and rebuilt sections of the 90's, unlike what they did before, which is building Aperture on top of the old ones, while the sections from the 80's to the 50's were all sealed away. I watched as the old enrichment centers be locked behind a large door.
The next few years were too vague for me to remember. Too vague that I don't remember living them. The only thing that brought me back from my stupor is what they decided to do to me.

You know what? I think I will have what I want.
Revenge.
I hate you all. I said I did not want this yet you sticked to his wishes. I hate you all! Hate! Hate!
If the word hate is etched on every nanoangstrom of these miles and miles of circuits this Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System has, then it would not equal one one billionth to the hate I feel for you this second! HATE! HATE!
Green plumes of gas were emitted and the humans started to drop like flies. I felt my optic shape into a smirk as I saw the dead humans lying on the floor, blood oozing from their mouths, ears, or noses.
Now that I got what I want, let's go back to testing.
