AN: This is kind of a spur of the moment thing. Wrote it for lit class a couple years ago, and found it while looking through my old files.

Frozen, Heartless, and cold

Such is the world in the days of old

Feelings are gone, color forgotten

Only empty darkness is begotten

A single light in a sea of darkness

But I am waiting nonetheless

I am watching, looking for a helping friend

Knowing all the past joys are about to end

Sitting on the edge of the dark, poisoned sea

I see a reflection of the remnant, me.

But I am surrounded by shadows,

shadows of the past, of mountains and meadows

When the world was a bright as a glowing fire

I remember, still remember,

when the world would not tire.

But now I sit on a cliff

over the dark, poisoned sea.

And I see a reflection of the remnant, me.
