Prologue
She was standing in front of a large mirror, staring at the wedding dress she was wearing. "You look beautiful, Cathy." A woman's voice said. The girl called Cathy turned towards the voice "Thank you Narcissa." She murmured. "Only a few hours before the wedding. Aren't you excited?" Narcissa gushed, while smoothing out her black bridesmaid dress. Cathy forced a smile, "Of course I am. Who wouldn't be?". She could probably name tons of people who'd rather die a thousand deaths then be in the position she was currently in. While Narcissa went about arranging Cathy's veil, she talked relentlessly about the huge wedding that was about to take place. With every word her friend uttered, Cathy felt more uncomfortable about the unknown lies Narcissa was speaking. When she could handle it no more, she walked away from her and turned to stare her in the face. "Cissa, there's something I need to tell you." The woman in question smiled, "You're nervous. So was I when I married your cousin." "No, it's not that. It's something much, much worse. And I can only hope you won't hate me after I finished telling you my story. The story of black diamonds and red rubies."
