After watching the Australian production of LND, I was very moved by it that I was inspired to write this poem based on Christine's POV about her relationship with the Phantom. Enjoy!
Lost in Mystery
Your eyes speak a thousand words
That I carry with me each day.
Such feelings are a mystery
But out of all the past pain,
You give me life.
I can ask for nothing more than to be here,
Held safe, enveloped
In the cacoon of your embrace
We all bear the burden of wounds
Let me carry yours
And all my struggles to understand
Will not be in vain.
My hand rests in your sheltering own,
Our hearts beat in the same rhythm.
Never have I felt so lost,
Yet so at peace.
