ATLANTIS CHILD
My first attempt at a poem fic. This is for my great friends Tamara and Roy and their little ones, Isaac and Solomon. Thanks to Sol for giving the inspiration last night. God Bless ya all! Atlantis Child.
Atlantis Child
Go to sleep
Close your eyes
And no longer weep
You'll visit the Ancients
And stay for tea
Imagine the beautiful places
You'll see
Uncle Aidan will take you
On a jumper ride
Show you hills and mountains
Where great warriors died
No one can hurt you
As you lie in your bed
Come now small child
Lay down your head
When the sun rises
You will awake
And God only knows
What trouble you'll make
As you grow older
You'll want to explore
All round Atlantis
Down dark corridors
You'll go to the mainland
Make lots of friends
You won't want to leave
Once the day ends
Mummy and Daddy
Will sit for a while
And watch over the first born
Atlantis Child.
