Threat in the darkness

Lucifer is awoken by the sound of his mate, Kayla, screaming in the middle of the night. So, of course, he does the only rational thing a man would do in this situation. He goes to see what is wrong. When he sees what it is, he is to say the least, surprised. What startled Kayla so much as to make her scream? Or who?

Drama camp was awesome- I get to go back Monday, so there is going to be even more fun!

I have this little drabble for you, and I should get the 2nd aka last chapter of 'Movie night with the Devil'.

Lucifer had been in his and Kayla's bed, trying to sleep, like any other night.

Key word: had.

Then he heard a scream come from the living room, of course he shot up and teleported himself to the living room, only to find Kayla standing on the couch, pointing at the ground, shaking.

So, it only makes sense for him to look for whatever startled his mate, his mind drawing a blank when he saw nobody else in the room. Could his Kayla possibly be going mad?

"What's wrong?" Lucifer asked, his eyes still searching the room trying to find the threat.

"SPIDER!" Kayla screeched, index finger still pointing at the ground.

Then he saw it, a small spider crawling across their hardware floor.

"You have to be kidding me." He mumbled; foot stretching out and squashing the insect with his foot.

Kayla really is a coward huh? I mean, she doesn't like scary movies, she doesn't like spiders... she's scared of everything isn't she!
