Rachel's POV
Tonight everything is happening. I'm making my Broadway debut I'm an ensemble member in the RENT revival. I'm that chick that dance on the table who dances on the table in La Vie Boheme B with the line "No way to make a living, masochism, pain, perfection, muscle spasms, chiropractors, short careers, eating disorders." I'm also the life support goer named Ali and a homeless person. Then I heard a knock at me and Peyton's room. (Peyton plays a life support goer named Pam, and a homeless person. She's making her debut with me as well.) "Hello?" I said.
"It's Mr. Schuester."
"What?!" I said in disbelief.
"That's right it's me your old glee club teacher."
"Come on in."
Mr. Schuester had definitely aged a little bit in the past 10 years. He had a small receding hairline and was a little shorter than he was last time I saw him. "Well you made it. How's it feel to be making your debut?"
"It's scary as hell. I may be only an ensemble member but it feels like I'm the star of the show in my own way."
"In a way you're first understudy for Maureen right?"
"Yah."
"So if that girl Jessica gets sick or injured you're a star of the show."
"Thanks Mr. Schuester. That makes me feel better."
"Good luck Rach. And remember me in your Tony Speech."
"Will do." I said as my old glee teacher left my dressing room.
"Jake! Give back my coffee!" I heard Peyton yell in the hallway.
"No way! Gotta catch me first!"
"Peyton want some of mine?" I offered.
"Thanks. I can never seem to get through a show without coffee."
"It's cool. In college my roommate and I would make coffee to get us through any show we were doing." Another knock at the door.
"I'll get it." Peyton said. "Hi."
"Hey." a familiar voice said.
"Kurt?" I said as I nearly spit out my coffee.
"Yah it's me Rachel." Kurt said.
"I haven't seen you since graduation. I heard you're a vocal coach. How's that going?"
"You remember Kelli, Tyler, and Ryan right?"
"Yah why?"
"Well I've been working with sopranos, Kelli's training altos, Ryan's working with tenors, and Tyler's helping basses."
"That's cool."
"Hey I gotta go Kelli's asking where the hell I am."
"Okay. I'll see you later."
"Yah bye."
"Bye."
"Who was that?" Peyton asked me.
"When I was in High School I was part of a glee club. He was one of our 6 original members."
"Oh. Were you one of the 6?"
"Yah. I remember the oher 4 as well."
"Who were they?"
"Well there was Mercedes. Now I think she's a costume designer for local theatre back home. There's Artie whose working in robotics to help devolop artifical lower bodies. Tina's in medical studies to help figure out how get rid of or make stutters better. And finally there's him. His name was Finn. Back then I had a huge crush on him. But now I realize I don't have a shot with him."
"Places Please for the top of act one. Places people." A lady over the intercom said.
"Well let's go make our debut." Peyton said.
"Okay, let's go." The show went great. Everything went just like it should. And Peyton and I recieved flowers for our opening night.
*Later that night at stage door*
"Okay Rachel here's how you stage door. You sign some stuff they ask and you can talk to them if you want. Okay?" Jay, our Angel said.
"All right."
"Let's go." Jay led me throught the hallway to the stage door. After an hour I got to the end of my first stage door. Then I saw him.
"Hi!"
"Hey." Then I recognized it.
"Finn? Is that you?"
"Yep It's me. I can't believe you rembered me!" I hugged him tightly. "You did really well Rachel. All of us at glee are proud of you. I brought you a little something for your opening." He turned and got a piece of paper out. "Open it."
I open the piece of paper and it said 'one free kiss'. He leaned over the gate and we kissed.
