The next few weeks were Hard on the family and the girls, especially Brittany. She had locked herself in her room for 2 weeks now, refusing to come out.
Dave was worried and sad at the same time. He slipped Brittany's food under the door because she had locked the room. School was starting soon and Brittany still hadn't changed.
"what should we do Dave, schools almost here and she's failing heaps, she can't afford to skip school" Jeanette said to Dave as he was sitting at the computer desk doing nothing.
"I don't know" he said and looked away from the troubled chipmunk.
First day of school
"what are we going to do about Brittany Dave" Eleanor said with her bag on her back. "i don't know, ill try to talk to her today, for now I've got to get you to school" Dave said and they got in. He drove them to school, dropped them off and drove home. When Dave got home, he knocked on Brittany's door, but no reply, so he got the key and unlocked it. When he walked in the whole room was full of Alvin pictures, but no Brittany. He panicked, started looking around and found a note, it said:
Dear Dave, Sisters and Alvin's brothers,
I cannot live without Alvin,
So I will not live at all
Brittany
Dave quickly garbed the phone and called the cops, reported her missing and within 24 hours, 82,000 people were looking for her.

In the paper,
Everywhere, but she was nowhere to be found, the worst was feared!!!!
