A Very Weird Day
POV Dean
I am not having a good day. What with all the surprise demons and whatnot. Also all the shifters and surprise attacks while Sam and I were just trying to have a good time. I guess it started about 48 hours ago.
Sam and I had finished a case involving a rogue shapeshifter that was faking its way into getting tons of money for something; I shot him before he got the chance to explain what it was he was doing. Couldn't have been for good though.
Anyway I'm getting distracted. Sammy and I cleaned up the shapeshifter's mess, and headed over 2 towns to spend the night in a little college town that we'd driven through before. It looked pretty interesting, so we decided to give it a shot. We checked into another crappy motel, and headed over to a bar to goof around in. They had purple nurples which is a plus. Sam went over to play some poker and I sat down at the bar next to a really hot group of girls. They were all talking and laughing, reminding each other to not eat too much crap because of the big game tomorrow.
"Excuse me," I asked one of them, tapping her on the shoulder. She swung around, her dark hair swishing over her shoulder. "Could you tell me what the big game is tomorrow? I was just passing through, and I got pretty curious," I said, winking at her, and giving her a cocky smile. She giggled put down her drink, and smiled. "Well, stranger I guess I could help you out. It's the soccer team's big game tomorrow. It's against our rivals, and we've tied them for the past 3 years, so the seniors are trying to prove that we're way better than them before they graduate."
"Well I guess I'll see you there then, I said, giving her a cocky half smile." She laughed. "Probably not, since I'll be on the field for most of the game."
"Lilly, come on! We're going to be late!"
"See you later, stranger." She smiled and whirled around, walking out with her friends. I looked around and saw that nothing but soccer was playing on the various televisions around the bar. An English league, the MLS, and even some in Spanish. It was weird; normally there'd be some American football or baseball on. I looked around and saw Sam laughing with a college aged girl; probably a senior or a grad student. They were very intensely talking about something, and I think it had to do with some huge immigration of people way back whenever.
Sam actually ended up getting a room with that girl. Hopefully she doesn't die in some horrible way but oh well. Anyway, after Sam came back that morning, I told him about the game and ow I thought it would be fun to go, just to unwind a bit and hopefully see that girl again.
Unfortunately I didn't know about the smoke, glass, supernatural weirdness and mix of monsters and fatalities that would take place at that game.
