So I just watched Titanic with Mia and she said we needed to fix the ending. This is me fixing the ending. Just for laughs. Please review with any other Titanic things you'd like me to write. Or really any stories or parodies. PLEASE GIVE ME THINGS TO WRITE! I love song parodies especially.
Disclaimer: Titanic is not mine. Sad-face.
"Are you serious!?" the short Guatemalan girl screamed at the television screen. She gestured angrily as she yelled, "Are you kidding me!? Is this even legal!?"
"I told you it was sad," her friend sighed from the couch, surrounded by several small piles of tissues from crying through the film.
"But Leonardo Dicaprio...but Jack..." her friend said, her large brown doe-eyes began to well up with tears. "He has to live! They have to run away together and Cal should have drowned!"
"Yeah I know, but not all stories end the way we want them to," Jane smiled, patting the enraged and upset Mia on the head.
"But what if we could fix it?" Mia asked, smiling crookedly over at her friend.
"What do you mean, fix it?" Jane inquired with a raised eyebrow.
"Well the Professor said he had the three-dimensional space-time bendy thingy, right? We could just slip into the movie, make sure Jack lives, and then come back, right?"
"Oh no! The Professor said we aren't allowed to touch his experiments anymore! We always manage to get ourselves in over our heads and the crash of the RMS Titanic does not sound like a fun place to do that," Jane said, crossing her arms over her chest and shaking her head. "I won't. You can't make me!"
"I can so. It means that you'll get to meet Jack from Titanic. Admit it, you've always wanted to meet him in real life," Mia said, sidling up to her friend and sitting on the couch next to her. Jane rolled her eyes.
"What teenage girl in her right mind doens't want to meet him? He's gorgeous and perfect and gorgeous and amazing!" Jane argued.
"Yeah, so we should SAVE HIM!" Mia declared. Jane didn't have much fight left in her.
"Alright, but let's be quick about it," she conceded. Mia whooped and ran to get the Professor's Space-and-Time-Changer.
When Mia returned, the girls scanned the front cover of Titanic and waited for the machine to do its stuff, which it did. It gave them five minutes in the movie to fix whatever they wanted. In milliseconds they found themselves in the freezing water, immediately next to Jack and Rose.
"Good God, you're an idiot," Jane sighed as Jack tried once and failed to get onto the board before drifting over, ready to die by Rose's side.
"Excuse me?" Jack said.
"Here, get up like this," Mia demonstrated, rolling on her side up onto the floating door next to Rose. "It doesn't sink or fall over."
"You mean we can both fit?" Rose asked, her lips already a pale shade of blue.
"Yes, you can both fit. And you can both live if you stay awake for like fifteen more minutes," Jane advised, watching as Jack successfully took Mia's place next to Rose on the piece of flotsam.
"Amen," Mia said, zapping back through time to her living room with Jane.
Jack and Rose looked at each other from their place on the floating door, "Those wonderful girls, whoever they are, saved us!"
"Jack!"
"Rose!" they said dramatically, looking each other in the eye and sighing. They snuggled up next to each other and waited those fifteen minutes to be rescued.
"I like this ending much better," Jane smiled, watching Jack and Rose run down the ramp from the Carpathia and into the New York docks to a background of much happier music than the previous post-sinking Celine Dion.
"Thank goodness," Mia sighed, leaning against her friend and enjoying the ending of their favorite movie. Tear-free.
