In the Library

----------

What Haru was doing in the library he had to wonder. Of course he didn't even think of asking her; just glared.

Gokudera just sighed loudly in annoyance. He tilted his chair back a little and glanced outside.

Haru called out to him, waving her hand to direct his attention, "Hey~ are you listening to me? Gokudera-san~?" She repeated his name from across the table. Gokudera frowned at her usual high-pitched voice. He had listened to her rant on about waiting for Tsuna and whine about how long its taking him to do classroom duties.

Haru had entered the library to wait where she found Gokudera who was coincidentally doing the same thing. But he had a book in his hand; she however, was talking nonstop. "Woman, do you ever stop-"

"Haru. My name's Haru," Haru cut in. "Ha-ruuu," she pressed firmly. Gokudera said nothing in response and returned to reading his book. Minutes passed in silence until Haru sighed softly and said, "Why does Gokudera-san hate Haru so much?" She was talking to him. The bomb specialist said nothing, just blinked, making no move to look at her. He listened for what she was going to say next, but nothing was spoken. She had been watching him intently, looking for a reaction, but decided there would be none and looked outside.

"…I never said I hated you," Gokudera mumbled uncomfortably. Surprised, Haru turned to look at him. He was looking out the window seemingly more interested in what's outside than what he just said. He was leaning on his propped up arm which was resting on the table. He seemed to be hiding his face as much as possible as he watched the scenery outside.

After spending seconds, minutes, in stunned silence, Haru spoke up, "…Haru doesn't hate you, either. Haru never did." She shook her head a little to show her sincerity.

Gokudera grunted quietly in response. He said, "You…are a little annoying sometimes," he heard her make a sound that indicated she was insulted, "but you're smart and you have a nice personality, I guess," he added the last part rather uncomfortably. Haru gaped. He complimented her! The stingy, rude, temperamental, octopus-head who always calls her "stupid woman" complimented her! There was no denying that she way happy, in fact, she was bubbling inside. What Gokudera had said was a statement of acceptation on Haru's part. He had let her know he acknowledges her as more than a useless accommodation around Tsuna.

She responded right away, "Haru likes Gokudera-san, too!" Her eyes sparkled in either gratitude or happiness, maybe both. "You have a kind side and you're very smart. Your loyalty to Tsuna-san is also very admirable!"

Gokudera looked at Haru. What she said was embarrassing so he couldn't help the small blush that had somehow made its way on his face. He smirked, "Heh, you're so impulsive. Also, speak quieter. I'm right here."

Haru looked back, smiling. She glanced at his eyes. "Ah, that's right…" She trialed off, staring at Gokudera's eyes.

Gokudera's ears perked up, "What?"

Haru smiled widely, "Haru likes Gokudera's green eyes the best."

Hi! ^^ This is my first ever story on Fanfiction. Please review! Criticism welcome! (writing style, sentence structure, plot, etc.)

I'm not very good of this, but it is my first story after all! I really suck at endings - I'm aware its quite bad. And the summary, too. I'm sorry!
