Author's Note: This is a story about the famous trio of Sora, Kairi, and
Riku featuring flashbacks from their past and reality into the world where
KH2 takes place. Enjoy!

That was then, This is Now. Chapter 1
Sora walked along the rocky roads of Twilight Town. He was waiting for Donald and Goofy to come out of some shop they were in. A year had pasts since his fate had begun. His true love had disappeared again from his grasp. It was like, whenever Sora even got close to Kairi, she disappeared.
"It's for her own safety." Sora thought to himself. "If I did let her come with me some heartless might take hold of her. At least I know she's safe on the island." But Kairi wasn't the only thing the teen had on his mind that day. Riku could be dead right now for all he knew. Ansem could've found him and ripped him to shreds. Literally. Sora remembered that day Riku saved him. Without Riku, Sora might be in oblivion right now.

Sora lost his balance as the World of Chaos rose up. Donald and Goofy had disappeared. What was he gonna do? Then suddenly a faint voice came into his head. It was so familiar.
"Giving up already? Come on Sora, I thought you were stronger than that!" It was Riku. But why? Riku just tried to kill him at Hollow Bastion. Sora would think it over later but soon he snapped to attention and flew up to Ansem. He wasn't gonna give up. Not after all he's been through. It wasn't gonna end here.

"Sora?"
Sora looked up. It was Donald and Goofy. They must've come back out while he was daydreaming.
"Sora, c'mon it's almost 7pm, we should get something to eat before we go." Donald said. "There's a nice café up the street, let' go grab a burger or something."
"Alright." Sora said. Come to think of it he was pretty hungry. "Does this café have coffee?"
"Don't cafés usually have coffee?" Goofy said as he shrugged his shoulders.
"You two palookas! Of course they have coffee!" Donald yelled. Donald had a short temper, but a big heart. Same with Goofy, except instead of a short temper, Goofy could loose to a rock in a Brain-A-Thon.
"Uh, Sora... You ok?" Goofy asked? Sora looked up. They had stopped walking and were staring at Sora.
"Yeah, I'm fine guys don't worry" Sora said. He was fine; he was just scared for his friends. He had to find them, and save them from any danger they might be in. No matter what.
The trio finally reached the café and ordered there food. (they had coffee) Sora picked at a cheeseburger, Donald finished two bowls of a salad, and Goofy, had a hot dog.
Sora walked outside and thought to himself. "Are my friends really as safe as I think they are?"

Sora: Well I'm not getting hurt, I'm just sad. ponders then shrugs works for me
Riku: Something bad will happen to me huh?
