Rapunzel Corona (Gothel)

Previously wealthy but is now poor

Rapunzel was once a much beloved and respected Lady, who cared for all who lived under her care and offered protection for the vulnerable. Engaged to be married, cherished by all who knew her and strong ties with the Royal Family, this young woman was almost guaranteed a prosperous future. That is of course, until the king issued a proclamation stating that those who are believed to have powers will die. Chaos broke out in the Corona estate after one of the scullery maids was the first to face the hang man's noose. The small, peaceful village that Rapunzel guarded was a buzz with fear. Brothers turned on brothers, with neighbours turning one another in for whatever profit it would earn them. Fearful for her people, Rapunzel renounced her status, gathered any supernatural beings remaining in the village and took off before the sun rose on the seventh day following the proclamation. Now going by the name Gothel with her long, blonde hair cut short and turned brown by a witch, she runs a hostel deep in the forest that is a safe haven for 'supernaturals'.
