"Hey, Sawyer?" Kate called. She bit her lip and turned in the shower, the water pouring down over her, washing away the dirt and the grime of the day. Maybe she shouldn't have called him, but then again, he was the only one around at the time. It was too late to take it back, anyway; it wasn't like she could collect the words after they'd fallen from her lips.
The bathroom door opened.
"What is it, Freckles?" He asked, his smirk looking extra cocky.
She peeked out from behind the bathroom curtain and rolled her eyes at him. "Can you grab me the shampoo?" She asked, pointing at the bottle to his left.
The con man cracked a full-out grin as he lifted up the container. "This one?" He asked, giving it a small shake as he glanced over at her. "I don't know." His dimples became even more prominent. "Maybe I could trade you for it." He chuckled, leaning his back against the sink.
She gave him another look and tilted her head to the side in feigned irritation.
After a tiny pause, Sawyer started fanning himself dramatically with his hand, looking right at Kate. "Jesus Christ, is it getting hot in here?" He teased, setting the bottle down and pulling his shirt over his head.
"Sawyer -" Kate started; but he was already working on taking off his shoes. And how could she stop him when he was gazing up at her like that with those blue eyes?
She sighed softly and tried to hide the smile on her face as she let the shower curtain fall back in place.
"Don't forget the shampoo."
