My first one-shot! Yay! :) it's about Annie finding out about Finnicks death. Hope you like it!

Annie was in her room in district 13. She sat cross-legged on the bed spacing out, mindlessly tying and untying knots with her length of rope. She's practically been in that position since Finnick left. 'when will he be back' she thought "I need him back.' Suddenly there was a knock on the door. "Come in" Annie said quietly. Then Johanna slowly walked in, a pained expression on her face. Annie looks up at her, forgetting her knot. "Hey Jo" "Hey Annie" Johanna sat next to her on the bed. "How you feeling? With Finnick still gone?" she asked cautiously "I-I'm ok. But do you think he'll be back soon?" Johanna sighed "Um, that's what I came here for" Annie slightly perked up "Are they back? Where is he? Where's Fin?" Annie stood up, she so badly wanted to see Finnick. Get lost in his sea green eyes, feel his strong arms wrapped around her, smell the faint scent of ocean on him. She could cry tears of happiness just imagining seeing him.

But then Johanna put a hand on her arm, she made Annie sit again. "Annie, you need to listen to me." They looked in each others eyes, Annie could tell what was happening. Johanna spoke slow and steadily but even her voice became a little shaky. "Finnick, he isn'tcoming back. We just heard about it. I'm so sorry..." she trailed off, seeing the deep sorrow in Annies eyes. "B-But... No, he has to come back." Tears build up in her eyes, Finnck couldn't be gone, he couldn't be dead. The tears cascade down her cheeks, she sobbed uncontrolably. 'no. No. No.' she thought 'he has to come back' Johanna brought Annie into a hug, and whispered in her ear. "it's ok Annie. Im gonna miss him too." the crying continued, eventually Johanna had to leave. All night Annie didn't stop crying, she cried herself to sleep which only brought on nightmares. She woke the next morning in a screaming fit, it wasn't unusual but this time, waking didn't bring much comfort. She sat up, eyes shut tight and hands over her ears. But she didn't feel Finnick wrapped around her, telling her it'd be alright. And she knew it wouldn't be alright.

Yeah, it's short. And probably bad but it's the first thing I've written. Please tell me what you think of it, I want to be a better writer! Review please
