Hi guys, this is my first completed Stendan fic. I've tried writing a few before but failed. This is my first half decent one, so I hope you like it. If you could review it would mean the world to me, and requests are even more welcome :')

The Little Things

Ste left the deli after his shift feeling great. Who'd have thought that his life could change so much for the better in just a short three months. He'd opened up his own business, had a job that he loved, was no longer in debt to Brendan, and was in a public relationship with a certain Irishman that he'd loved for years. It has certainly taken a long time to get there, but despite their many ups and downs, Ste and Brendan were in a comfortable relationship. And to top it all off, Brendan wasn't against people knowing about the two of them. Granted, they didn't have many intimate moments, but most people in the village knew that they were together. And that was enough. For both of them.

He locked up the deli and ascended the flight of stairs right beside him, to where Brendan's house was. As soon as he knocked, the door opened and Ste was presented with a red faced Irishman wearing an apron. Ste sighed. Brendan and cooking weren't a good mix of Ste's loves. "What are you like, eh?" he smiled, placing a warm kiss on Brendan's lips and walking into the kitchen area to see how bad the damage was.

Food was all over the floor, more than was in the bowl. By the look of the ingredients, Brendan had been attempting to make an Irish stew again. Ste fought to keep his laughter contained. He thought that Brendan would have learnt by then, that when it came to cooking, he was a helpless case.

Ste turned around to see Brendan flushed with embarrassment at his failed attempt to make the two of them a decent meal. Ste smiled at his boyfriend. "Let's just get a takeaway, yeah?" he suggested, causing Brendan to give a grin of relief.

When the delivery of a bag full of Chinese came, Brendan paid for the food, having taken his apron off, and they both sat down with full plates. Brendan was lying against the arm of the sofa, his head resting on some cushions, with Ste on top of him. He laid his head on Brendan's shoulder, allowing an arm to wrap around his waist. Ste loved the times like those, when they would just cuddle up, oblivious to the rest of the world.

When they'd finished eating and watching the movie, Ste turned his head to look at Brendan, who seemed close to dozing off. Ste tapped him on the shoulder, receiving a grunt in response as Brendan opened his eyes.

"You know Bren, I love it when its like this. Just the two of us having a quiet night in." Ste murmured, happily but cautiously, unsure of the answer he would get.

He was quite surprised when Brendan merely chuckled. "I know, but I know something else that you like to do a lot more." He said suggestively, raising an eyebrow. Ste laughed. His boyfriend had a one track mind, he was sure.

Brendan sat up in his place and captured Ste's lips with his own, receiving in turn a heated response. A few seconds later, they found themselves stumbling over to Brendan's bedroom, where they wouldn't be leaving for the rest of the night.
