The canon fires. BOOM! Cato is dead. Katniss and Peeta wait for Claudius Templesmith to tell them they are the winners, but it remains silent. They walk away from the body, thinking it that may be the problem. Claudius' voice is heard. The rule is changed to the original rule again. Peeta and Katniss look at each other. They both don't want to kill the other. So they take the berries in their hands. They begin counting. "One." Peeta touches her other hand and squeezes it. "Two." Katniss looks at their entwined hands and back to Peeta. "Three." They lift their hands to their mouths and eat the berries. They are almost dead immediately,and their hands are still entwined. A second after that, we hear the voice of Claudius. "Stop! Stop it right now!". But it didn't matter. Katniss and Peeta were already dead.
