Robin Who? - Vignettes

Chapter One: The Name
"They call me Amir. Who might you be?"
The man thought about it and said, "I…don't…know."
He scratched his head in confusion, while Amir raised an eyebrow at him.
"I don't know who I am!"
Amir placed his hand on the younger man's shoulder.
"Calm yourself, friend," he advised, "it will come back to you when you are calm."
The man sat down at the bottom of the sand dune and sighed.
"You are right, of course, Amir," he said, "my memories will return eventually. I just need to remain calm."
"I have it! I know who I am! Sort of," said the man, "I am Robin. But, I still don't know where I'm from."
"You sound like an Englishman," commented Amir, "you look like an Englishman."
"I suppose I am," remarked Robin, slowly.
"Can you remember where you live in your country?" asked Amir.
Robin shook his head.
"No, I don't. I'm not even entirely sure I do live in England," he said, "wherever that is."
