This is my idea on how the movie should have ended if Christine had chosen Erik over Raoul. Just at the last scene in the movie. Short but sweet :)

The Rose
Erik stared at the small monkey, its chimes echoed in his cavern seeming out of place with its bright song. He sang lightly under his breath the words that followed with the music boxes tune, it was in that moment where he heard the small rustle of skirts passing over stone.
Looking up he saw his angel, she stood there dark curls framing her pale porcelain face and the white dress which he had carefully picked for her added a glow that made him feel like he was in heaven. She was silent looking at him, sadness seemed to touch her features and it appeared as though she was fighting an inner battle.
For a moment he thought it was the sight of his face that caused this posture from her, but the moments earlier still lingered in his mind and on his lips. Though he knew it was futile he spoke what had been burned onto his soul since he had first heard his angel sing.
"Christine I love you"
A ghost of a smile appeared on her face, she stepped forward while pulling free the ring he had given to her, even though it had been from "princling" as he had designated Raoul. She placed it on the table in front of him as he watched, a dead look in his eyes and he felt as though his soul was draining away from him all hopes vanishing.
The chiming stopped and he glanced up at her once more only to have a face of shock replace the one of despair, for there she stood and in her hands she held his rose. The ebony ribbon stood out against her skin and the crimson petals looked almost as if her heart had been opened to him. He knew what this symbol implied yet all his doubts that had settled around over the past few months bound him tightly making his limbs impossible to move. This was the woman that he had given his heart to but she had returned it three months ago on the roof. Christine now stood before him eyes closed breathing in the aroma of the rose that she held in her hands, choosing him over Raoul. She opened her eyes and looked at him a stray tear rolled down her face and yet she smiled, he wanted to hold her to take the tears away but he would not risk hurt again.
She seemed to sense the hesitation and knelt before him touching his face; he flinched for a moment but then relaxed against her soft caress. He placed a small smile on his features and he stood up, then has he had done so long ago he held out his hand to her. She looked directly into his eyes and instead of taking his hand threw her arms around him.
Erik froze for a moment he was not use to such behaviour towards him but after a moment he placed his arms lightly on her waist not wanted to break this moment. She pulled back a bit and looked into his eyes, and with one sung line she offered him a new world.
"It's over now, the music of the night"
