Drop The World For You
*Flashback*
I just wanted her to be with me. I wanted her to love me like I loved her. I wanted to wake up in the morning and see her curly red hair and bright blue eyes, and know that they were mine. Maybe I was crazy to feel this way, but every time I looked in her bright blue orbs, I saw that somewhere in them, she wanted it too. I don't know if it was too much to ask but, could I be your everything?
I don't know why we had to even discuss it. She always compared us to her parents. I tried to tell her that things would be different. That I could be everything that she wanted me to be. I could be her knight in shining armor. But I guess that was too much for her. I guess having all she wanted, wasn't what she wanted after all. If she would've just told me, I could've done it for her. I could've made every one of her dreams come true. But I guess it was too late for me to snap my fingers for her every little wish. And to think, we could've had it all.
She glided out the door, her heels leaving permanent scars on my world. "Clare wait!" I begged, all of the strength from my voice weakening slowly. She stopped. Her black mascara leaving a mucky river of sadness down her face. Even with the mess of make up on her skin, she still looked beautiful. That's one of the things I always loved about her. I could tell she had been thinking about this.
"What more can I do to make you stay?" I asked. "What do you want?" "You want the world?" "Just say the word and I'll give it to you." I stated passionately. "We could hold the world in the palms of our hands and drop it." I pleaded. "If you want to, I would." "I'd drop the world for you." "Please, I'll give you anything." I declared. "You want me, you can have me." I asserted. "Just promise me that maybe, just maybe you could be mine too." I requested whole heartedly.
"Oh Eli." Her small voice whimpered, her blue oceans drowning me with every soft tear. "I wish it were that easy." She stated sadly. "Why can't it be?" I questioned with a wounded sound in my voice. "We could start over; it could be like old times." I pled. Her blue orbs crashed with every soft thought floating around in her head. "Can you promise me something?" Her small voice squeaked. "Promise me that you'll wait for me." And with that she walked out of my life forever. And now I was stuck here thinking. "Did she want the moon?" "I'd give her the moon." "I'd give anything for her to come back."
