Paring- JT/Manny
POV- Manny
Moment
I was going to Rick's memorial service with Toby, he really needed a friend right now since JT wouldn't be one I would. We arrived at the service it was empty for the most part. A lady with blond hair was crying over Rick's casket, must be his mom. I took a look around and my eyes meet with Toby's face. He looked worried and scared.
"I-I can't do this" He said looking around.
"It's-It's okay", I began, "We can just leave."
Just as we turned around Rick's mom saw us and croaked out "Toby, Tobes you came" She hugged him and continued with " You were always such a good friend, such a good friend" One hand laying delicately on his shoulder. Toby gave her a half smile.
"Mrs. Murray", JT's voice rang Toby gave him the same smile. "I just wanted to say I'm very sorry for what happened" She looked at him with big eyes "You were a friend of Rick's" He looked to his right and looked back at her "It was a tragedy, I'm very sorry." She came over and hugged him. She said "Thank you" in to his ear and once again on her way back to the casket.
"It doesn't matter what I thought of Rick it still shouldn't have happened" He looked at Toby right in the eyes it was his way of saying sorry. Toby nodded and gave him a small smile before going to the casket. His way of saying it's okay.
He soon went out side and I followed him.
"You know it was very mature of you to come here" I told him. I went down the steps and came face to face with him.
"Yeah, I finally became the bigger man" A small smile playing on his lips. I smiled too and gave him a kiss on the cheek letting my lips linger for a while. I pulled back.
"What was that for." He said obviously shocked. "For being the bigger man." We stared in to each others eyes and slowly we closed the gap between us. The kiss was like one of those cheesy romance movies. I completely forgot about everything else but JT it didn't matter that I was with Spinner, it didn't matter that I loved Craig before, all that mattered was this moment.
