How I Think Sherlock Holmes Faked His Death:
- In "A scandal in Belgravia", Irene Adler fakes her death, twice.
- Sherlock has a homeless network.
- John didn't see Sherlock hit the ground.
- Sherlock was trying to increase drag when jumping my flapping his arms and legs around.
- Sherlock keeps a rubber ball with him.
- A truck passes by when Sherlock hits the ground.
1. Sherlock makes a plan with Irene, Molly, and his homeless network to fake his death.
2. He meets up with Jim and everyone gets in place. (Jim shoots himself.)
3. Sherlock jumps and lands on something (rubbish, mattress?) which gets loaded into the truck that passes by.
- John doesn't see because of the building.
4. He gets hit by the guy on the bike to give Sherlock time.
5. Sherlock puts the ball in the pit of his elbow to make it seem like there's no pulse (John takes pulse, thinks Sherlock's dead)
6. Sherlock's "dead" body gets rushed into St. Bart's by his homeless network (and some participating nurses) where he switches with the fake that Irene helped him get.
7. Sherlock gets Molly to forge him a fake death certificate.
Opinion? I think this actually makes perfect sense. Except no. 7. I think the government would have made a death certificate anyways.
