Chapter one

How we got into this predicament

A loud yawn escaped the lips of a lone figure in a lone computer chair. The sound echoed n the large empty space. Small and thin arms reached up and stretched in a brown colored, long sleeved turtle neck sweater. Stiff knuckles cracked as the fell. narrow fingers reached up and pulled off a pair of black rimmed glasses. The fingers rubbed overly tired eyes and replaced a stray blonde hair back to behind the ear of the figure. The figure sighed as it put its glasses back on.

"If I shifted the energy from the forward apex block to the trilateral simplex block..." He mumbled to himself as his fingers seemed to dance across the keyboard. He glanced up to the four screens that all tried to clamor for his attention. Multiple windows were pen on all of the screens. The figure of a small teenager stopped his fingers to reflex on recent events that have forced him to be up so late at night.

Replikas left and right...William still under HIS control...Keeping Aelita safe from falling into the digital sea...since when has my life been such a ball of pure stress?I may not of had friends then, but I can not help but wonder how different my life would be if I never discovered the supercomputer and started this whole war we have fought...

His mind was about to drift into the memories of the past, but the sudden sound of an alarm that blared to life stopped him from doing so. He sighed and forced his fingers to type into the computer the codes to bring up more information. He called up the program hat was giving off the alarm, just as another program displayed itself. The boy turned to this new program and raised an eyebrow up at it.

Huh? The scanners management program? Hmm...it seems that XANA is sending us someone...or something. Good thing that I'd installed all those security cameras. The boy chuckled at his own thoughts as he open up a video footage of the scanner room below his feet. He noticed the usual cloud of smoke of something going from digital to real. It clouded the camera as he heard the elevator move down to greet whatever it was. The lone figure had a pretty good idea that it was coming up to him.

As the door opened with a creek, the boy spin the chair around to face this new threat.

"Alright...what is it that your after this time XANA. I-" He started to say, but his words were stuck in his throat He gazed in worry and fear at the creature that gave Aelita nightmares. He jumped out of his chair and slowly backed away from his foot hit the back wall, he knew he was was no way to get around the large floating jellyfish. no where left to hide.

Jeremie was helpless in stopping the Scyphozoa from reaching out and seizing him. Its clear tentacles bend over and touched the sides and front of Jeremie's head. For the first time in a long time, Jeremie regretted working alone in the lab as the Scyphozoa went to work in his mind. Jeremie passed out as the creature finished the job. It dropped the boy onto the ground in a heap. It floated back down to the scanners and returned back to it's digital world.
