Caitlin and Denora

'Dhother, Dhother, Dhother!'. That's all she ever heard from Caitlin. She was so focussed on that long haired, pretty boy Elf, that she was blind to the attentions of the other members of the party.

Especially to her.

Denora looked around the inn. For one gold, it wasn't too bad, but it could've been better. It would've probably attracted a higher class of clientele for one. She shuddered, looking at the men who were trying to catch her eye.

Elora knew she was pretty. A Half-Elf, with her long hair tied back loosely, accentuating the slight points of her ears, and her deep, brown eyes looking out from her beautiful face.

She was used to the stares by now. But there was one person who never stared.

Caitlin Cormac.

Denora sighed, looking over at the object of her affection. Caitlin, an Elf, was in the process of becoming the firstborn of Bahamut, and as a precaution, she was covered almost head to toe to hide her wings and other Dragon attributes.

Unable to take it anymore, Denora excused herself from the group and headed up to her room which she shared with Caitlin. Jonn, Dhother and Grieg bade her goodnight, but Caitlin was silent, too preoccupied with staying hidden. Denora felt her heart ache, but she tried to ignore it.

She looked sadly at the bed. So empty. Denora glanced down at her hand. If she closed her eyes and thought hard enough, it could be Caitlin, giving her the love and caring she so desperately wanted from her.

Denora stripped down to her undergarments and slipped between the sheets. If she was quick, she could be finished before Caitlin came to bed.

She closed her eyes and thought of her love. Short hair, black as the night. Delicate features that hid her inner fire in battle. The scar across her nose that Denora longed to kiss. The strange wings that Caitlin could wrap around and hold her as they snuggled.

As she built her mental picture, Denora felt another person slide into the bed. Her eyes snapped open, and she came face to face with Caitlin.

"Hey…", Caitlin smiled, her eyes glowing with power.

"H-hey…", Denora stammered, "Wh-what are you doing in my bed?"

Caitlin grinned wolfishly, "What does it look like?", she whispered, lowering her lips to Denora's.

For an instant, Denora was in heaven. Caitlin's lips felt soft on hers, and before long, her arms were around her, holding the half-Elf/half-Dragon to her.

Denora broke the kiss, panting for air, "Caitlin? Why are you doing this? What about Dhother?"

Caitlin looked around awkwardly, "I think Dhother's been taking my teasing too seriously. I like him, but I don't like him, if you know what I mean…"

Denora nodded, running her fingers through Caitlin's hair, "But… how did you know? About me, I mean…"

Caitlin shrugged, "I guess it's the new Dragon powers. I can sorta sense what you guys are feeling. Not in detail, but some surface emotions… and you were so sad. It got worse whenever you looked at me, so it wasn't a big leap to the conclusion…"

Denora smiled, "So… you like me too?"

Caitlin nodded, "Duh… why else would I be here?", she winked.

Denora giggled, snuggling up to Caitlin, "I don't know… but now you're here, please just hold me…"

Caitlin obliged, wrapping her arms and wings around Denora, who slowly drifted off to sleep, happy.

"Where do you think Caitlin went off too in such a hurry?"

"I don't know. Stop worrying about her Dopplepopolis."

"DHOTHER! IT'S DHOTHER!"

"Whatever, just make sure we have some Brilliant Bacon for breakfast in the morning."

"I hate you guys…"
