Eames was not a jealous man. Not usually.
Amusing. Yes.
Annoying. Yes.
A sociopathic. Yes.
He would admit to those, but he was not usually a jealous man. Then again, he was not usually in love with his co-worker.
"Hello, Arthur, Darling." Darling. It was as much Arthur's pet name as it was Arthur's pet hate. Eames liked making Arthur mad, because he was ever so adorable when he was mad, but Eames didn't like other people making him mad.
Ariadne really made Eames mad.
As much as he liked the pet, she was always with Arthur. Like a couple. He knows they would both hit him if he ever said it, but that is what they are, and it makes him mad.
Ok, jealous.
He liked working with Ariadne, she, unlike Arthur, was easily embarrassed. They would talk like friends, but stayed clear of the A subject.
"Hello, Arthur, Princess." Eames strolled into the warehouse, coffees in hand (two, one for himself, one for Arthur). Arthur kept up a stony silence, yet Eames saw a vein in his forehead pulse.
"Sweety pie?" Eames had a whole list of alternate names, just to rile Arthur up. With each new suggestion, Arthur's hands tensed on his keyboard. Eames placed the coffee down beside Arthur as he rattled off the list.
"Baby doll? Pumpkin? Angel? Shnookums?" Finally, Arthur snapped, he got up and walked over to Eames, who braced himself to be hit. A punch was not landed, instead, the Point Man placed a kiss on the lips of the seedy, English Forger. The kiss was broken off and Eames stood there, slightly breathless. By the time Eames had snapped out of it, Arthur was back to typing, normally.
"Shnookums it is then!" Eames said cheerily, sipping his coffee and smiling at the Point Man, who sighed, defeated.
