I looked out the window as the train drew to a stop.
It was a rainy afternoon, typical for forks; it was only sunny for about 8 days a year...
But that's ok. I like the rain. I don't know why but it comforts me somehow. I hadn't been here for years. My sister, Bella, had come here a few months before me. I was thinking about coming down soon, but apparently she was going through a depressional stage. Charlie had asked for me to come a little bit earlier to see if we could spend some more time together. We aren't really that close, but we're still sisters. I looked at the woman sitting across from me. She was beautiful, but she was scarred on her right side, from just above the eye all the way down to her hand. She caught me staring, and smiled. I wanted to ask her what happened, but she already knew, and said, "Bear." That was enough to guess. "Getting off here?" she asked. "Yeah." Was my simple reply. "What brings you to forks?" "My sisters going through a bad breakup." I didn't really know how else to say it. "And I haven't seen my dad in awhile." Then there was an awkward silence. I hate those. Finally I found something to say, "Visiting?" "No, I live here. I was visiting my cousin, but now I'm coming back home." I wondered where about she lived. Would I happen to meet her again? "Who's your sister?" she asked "Bella swan." Unless she was a friend, she probably didn't know who she was. The look on her face was surprise, but I guess it wasn't a bad one. "I didn't know Bella had a sister." "Most people don't." I said goodbye and got off the train. I quickly found Charlie and he helped me with my luggage and put it in the back of his cruiser. He wasn't on duty but he was still in uniform. I heard a deep voice. "Hey, Charlie." I turned around to see a large tanned man. He was tall and masculine, yet he had soft eyes. "Hello, Sam. Is Emily back yet?" "That's why I'm here. She said she was coming back on the ecocoach. It's supposed to be here now, actually." "That's the one I came on." I told him. He looked down at me, and smiled. "This must be Natasha." I felt kind of intimidated, with him being that tall, he had to be at least a-head-and-neck taller than me. He had broad shoulders too, and I actually wouldn't mind tapping that. Whoever Emily was, I was extremely jealous of her. "Hi" was all I could manage to say at that point. He said hello back, but his head soon looked behind him. "Oh, there's Emily. It was good seeing you again, Charlie. And it was nice meeting you." He said, nodding to me. "Goodbye, Sam." Charlie said. For some reason, I couldn't find any words to say.
